Remington, Model 8, .30 Rem Cal, MFG. 1920, SN: 42307, Semi-Auto Rifle, 22'' barrel. The original straight grip & schnabel forend stocks are excellent. There is a couple of tiny edge chips near the lower tang & a few minor handling marks scratches & contusions to the original finish. There appears to be a very thin protective layer of finish or oil over the excellent original finish. The original metal blue finish rates 90% overall, with density loss due to honest thinning wear. The blue is starting to tone plum as it thins, mostly observed on the receiver. Bore is excellent, bright & clean. The barrel carries standard front & rear sights. There is a small contusion dent on the left side of the mag. The stock carries a smooth Remington UMC, lower tang, crescent metal buttplate. 5 round fixed magazine. Tight action. An overall excellent & original collector condition rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1200
