Remington, Model 81, 35 REM CAL, MFG. 1948, SN: 37504, Semi-Auto Rifle, 22'' barrel. The original flat pistol grip wood stocks are excellent, having been very lightly sanded & expertly refinished. There are very few tiny handling marks remaining to the excellent finish. There is a very small corner chip at the upper right shoulder against the receiver. The original metal blue finish rates 95% overall, with most loss due to density thinning at the belly of the receiver & mag. The receiver carries a Redfield receiver sight, while the barrel carries a filler blank in the rear sight provisions & a standard front sight. Bore is excellent. Stock carries the Remington checkered metal buttplate. 4 rd fixed magazine. Sling loops mounted in the belly of the stock & on the barrel. An overall excellent condition & sharp looking standard 81 rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
