RARE Winchester, Model 61, Marked .22 LONG R. Cal., MFG: 1939, SN: 47302, Pump Action Rifle, Rare 24 1/4'' Octagon barrel. Rarer single caliber configuration. The original flat pistol grip wood stock & corncob forearm are excellent. The original finish is excellent, with several tiny handling marks & minor contusions. The metal blue finish on the barrel has toned mostly to a blue/brown patina, thinning in areas to an uneven 80% coverage. The receiver rates 98%, with a couple thin spots on the belly ahead of the trigger guard. Factory sights. Bore is excellent, with defined rifling. Buttstock carries a checkered metal buttplate. An excellent example of an octagon, single caliber 61. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2500 to 3500
