Winchester, Model 99 ''Thumb Trigger'', Early variation, CAL: 22 S.L. MFG: 1904-23, SN: NSN, Bolt Action Rifle, 18'' barrel. The original straight grip wood stock is excellent & solid, with numerous minor contusions, nicks scrapes & scratches to the very good original finish. The original metal blue finish rated 85% overall. Bore is excellent & bright. The barrel holds a standard notch dovetail rear sight & blade front sight. Stock carries a Winchester checkered black plastic buttplate. Many of these were shipped to Australia & South America, making them less common in U.S & generally sought by collectors when in high original surviving condition.
