Ward's Western Field, Model 40, S, L, LR Cal., MFG. 1920's, SN: None, Bolt Action Rifle, 24'' round barrel. The factory flat pistol grip wood stock is very good, with numerous minor handling marks, scratches or contusions to the original finish. The metal finish has fully worn gun metal gray. Bore is excellent, The barrel carries an adjustable rear sight, missing the elevator, & a blade front sight. Smooth metal buttplate. The bolt slides out of receiver without engaging the action & the rifle is missing the mag tube plunger. The rifle needs additional parts to function properly. The rifle is therefore being sold ''AS-IS'', as a parts gun, with NO RETURNS. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 20 to 80
