Charter Arms, Model AR-7 Explorer, CAL: .22 LR, MFG: 1973-95, SN: A113701, Semi-Auto Rifle, 16'' detachable barrel. The factory flat pistol grip, black synthetic stock is very good, with numerous minor to small scuffs or scratches. The receiver & barrel are a cast aluminum alloy, with a factory black paint finish that rates 90% overall, with a few scuffs & scratches from use. The barrel uses a steel liner inside. The barrel, magazine, & receiver can all be dismantled & stored in the buttend of the stock, & the whole sealed unit is waterproof & floats. Bore is excellent & bright, with little wear. Factory blade front sight & aperture rear. Stock carries a black plastic buttplate or cap, which is removable to access the parts storage compartments. Mechanical function appears solid.
