Colt, Model 1903 Navy, CAL: 38 Long Colt, MFG: 1906, SN: 270268, DA/SA Revolver, 6'' Barrel. The checkered vulcanized rubber grips with Rampant Colt logos are excellent with minimal wear. There is a thin layer of applied brown finish on the gun. There is some non-factory blue in protected areas as well as some original blue visible on the left side of the trigger. The factory markings are relatively crisp & all legible. Bore is good, the rifling has thinned slightly & the bore has darkened with very light roughness throughout & a couple of small spots of deep pitting throughout. Mechanically poor, this firearm is not fully functional. The cylinder will occasionally fail to rotate when the hammer is drawn to the rear or the trigger is pulled (this happens more consistently when the firearm is pointed up). The cylinder latch moves rearwards when the hammer is drawn & falls forward with the hammer. This firearm requires some professional gunsmithing to function properly.
