BOXED Colt, Police Positive, CAL: 38 S&W (Not 38 SPL), MFG: 1926, SN: 169283, DA/SA Revolver, 4'' Barrel. The factory checkered wood grips with Rampant Colt medallions are excellent with sharp checkering & little to no wear. The metal holds the factory blued finish. The finish rates approximately 98% with thinning on the barrel, front strap, & backstrap. There is some edge wear, most notably on the right side of the frame behind the trigger guard. The factory markings are all crisp. Bore is excellent, bright with strong rifling. Mechanically very solid, seems to function well. The cylinder lockup is tight & the mainspring feels strong. The barrel holds a blade front sight, there is a rear sight notch cut into the frame. Comes in the serially matched factory box with wax paper. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 800 to 1600
