Smith & Wesson, 44 Hand Ejector 1st Model ''New Century'' ''Triple Lock'', CAL: 44 SPL, MFG: 1907-15, SN: 14660, DA/SA Revolver, 5'' Barrel. The factory checkered wood grips with S&W medallions are good with substantial handling wear that has thinned the checkering fully smooth in some areas. The checkering that is visible has worn so thin it adds little in way of ergonomic improvement. The metal holds a non-factory nickeled finish, the finish is good. The nickel seems to have been added on top of some clean pitting, there is some new speckled pitting throughout that has toned to very dark, almost black, splotches of roughness. Bore is fair to good, the rifling is thinned slightly but still very pronounced. Much of the bore retains some brightness but there is speckled clean pitting throughout. Mechanically solid, seems to function well. The barrel holds a fixed front sight, a rear sight notch is cut into the top of the frame. FFL Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
