Smith & Wesson, The 44 Magnum ''Pre-Model 29'', CAL: 44 MAG, MFG: 1956-57, SN: S153390, DA/SA Revolver, 4'' Barrel. The factory checkered wood grips with ''S&W'' medallions are excellent with minimal wear & some small dings & scratches throughout. The original blue rates approximately 90% with light wear. The cylinder has a clear drag line & some thinning. There are some small scuffs & dings on the frontmost corners of the frame under the cylinder as well as a clear & consistent scratch pattern throughout the gun. All of the standard markings around the gun are visible & led gable. Bore is excellent, bright with strong rifling. Mechanically solid, seems to function well. The barrel holds a fixed front sight with a red plastic insert. A windage & elevation adjustable rear sight is mounted to the top of the frame. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2000 to 3500
