Smith & Wesson, Model 586-1 ''Distinguished Combat Magnum'', CAL: 357 MAG, MFG: 1986-99, SN: AUV6804, DA/SA Revolver, 4'' Barrel. The factory checkered wood grips with ''S&W'' medallions are very good, near excellent, with some handling wear & small dings & surface scratches throughout. There are also a couple of edge chips throughout & a splintered section near the edge of the checkering. The metal carries what appears to be a non-factory professionally applied parkerized finish. The finish is excellent with a drag line & light use wear. All of the standard markings around the gun are slightly faded from the Parkerizing process but still visible & legible. Bore is excellent, bright with strong rifling. Mechanically solid, seems to function well. The barrel holds a fixed front sight with a red plastic insert. A windage & elevation adjustable rear sight with a white square ''U'' notch is mounted to the top of the frame. Comes with a Smith & Wesson factory cardboard box for a 586 with a non matching serial number & other packing material. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 500 to 1000
