Mauser, P38, CAL: 9mm, MFG: 1943, SN: 8793, DA/SA Semi Auto Pistol, 5'' Barrel. The bakelite grips are excellent with some handling wear. The metal holds what appears to be an arsenal re-blued finish. The blue on the gun rates approximately 97%. The finish has light handling wear & edge wear. There are some small dings & scratches throughout. The right side of the slide has two German Army Waffenamts with an Iron Eagle between them, these marks are worn very thin. The rest of the markings are also thin but far more clear & legible, this is likely from being buffed during the arsenal re-blue. The serial numbers on the frame, slide, & front flat of the barrel match. Bore is very good, bright with strong rifling but substantial pitting in the groves of the rifling next to the lands. Mechanically solid, seems to function well. A fixed all black front sight is set in a dovetail cut on the barrel, a fixed all black rear sight is set in dovetail cut on the slide.
