Winchester, Model 1873, 3rd Variation, Marked .32 Cal. (32-20), MFG: 1889, SN: 288557, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The original straight grip wood stock & forend are excellent, with a minor handling marks, scratches & dings to the original finish. The metal blue finish on the barrel & mag has mostly toned to an even brown patina, with 75% coverage & areas of remaining blue still shining through. The receiver retains about 70% of the original bright blue, with much of the spotty loss on the right side. The case-hardened lever & hammer show faded outlines of case-colors. Bore is excellent, with a few areas of speckled roughness amongst strong rifling. The barrel holds an adjustable rear sight & a rocky mountain silver blade front sight. Stock carries a smooth crescent metal buttplate. A nicely looking 1873, with much of the original finishes remaining.* Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 2500 to 4500
