Winchester, Model 1892 SRC, marked .25-20 W.C.F., MFG. 1908, SN: 442239, Lever Action Carbine, 18 1/4'' Round Barrel, Full mag. The original wood stocks are good & solid. The stock has been shortened & has a solid rubber recoil pad added. The stock was sanded around the buttend at the time of the buttpad fitting & the left side of stock has also had most of the finish removed. The right side of stock & the forend have a added layer of finish over the original finish. There are small handling marks & contusions. The metal blue finish on barrel & mag remains at 80%. The receiver has worn to a mix of remaining blue, gun metal gray & a thin brown patina. Bore is good, but has spotty areas of cleaned pitting. Barrel carries an updated Marbles adjustable rear sight & has had a ramp added to the muzzle end to hold a Marbles Sheard front sight. Missing the saddle ring, with screws filling the original staple attachment holes. Smooth tight action. This would make a great little youth hunting carbine or shooter.
