Winchester, Model 1895 SRC, CAL MARKED: .30 GOV. '06., MFG: 1915, SN: 87612 , Lever Action, 22'' Tapered round barrel. This rifle has been very nicely & professionally restored. The original wood stock & forearm are excellent & solid, with the military style top handguard likely being a correct replacement. The stocks appear to carry the original finish, but may have been cleaned long ago with some added protective oils. The display minor scuffs, dings & handling marks. The metal blue finish is excellently restored rating 95%, & preserving the markings & barrel address. Bore is excellent & bright, with crisp rifling. The barrel holds a military style rear ladder sight & elevated blade front sight. Stock carries a sliding trapdoor metal carbine buttplate. Carries the desirable saddle ring. Sling swivels. The rifle is overall excellent & still very collectible in this shape & appearance. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
