Winchester, Model 55 TAKE-DOWN, marked 32 WS, MFG: 1927, SN: 7346, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' Lightweight fast tapered round barrel, 3 round mag, Take-down rifle. The straight grip wood stocks are excellent, however the stock appears to be a replacement although it matches & fits well. The finish on both are excellent, with a few minor scuffs or scratches. The metal blue finish on the barrel & mag has thinned & toned a darker gray, while the finish on the receiver has almost fully worn off to a gun metal gray. Bore is clean & very good, but with spotty areas of roughness & a slight bulge 1'' from muzzle. Adjustable rear & elongated blade front sight. Stock fitted with a Winchester marked plastic replacement. Smooth tight action. Overall nice appearance. This is one of the rarer Winchester models with only 20,580 model 55 rifles manufactured.
