Savage, Model 99, CAL: 300 SAV, MFG: 1953, SN: 709551, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' round barrel. The checkered & capped pistol grip wood stock is excellent. There are minor contusions, scrapes & dings to the finish. The forearm appears to be a factory or correct model replacement & has been very lightly sanded & professionally refinished, with re-traced checkering. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 95%. The receiver has fully worn to gun metal gray, with remnants of original blue remaining in protected areas. The lever is case-hardened, with remnants of faded case-colors remaining in protected areas. Bore is excellent. The barrel holds an adjustable rear sight & ramp elevated blade front sight. Sling studs. Grooved metal buttplate. Comes with leather sling. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 400 to 800
