Colt Lightning Small Frame, CAL: 22, MFG: 1903, SN: 78994, Pump Action Rifle, 24'' Tapered octagon barrel. The original straight grip wood stock & smooth forend are excellent, with minor scratches, contusions & a 4'' finish scrape on the lower right side of the stock. The wood finish appears original & is very good. The metal blue finish rates 90% on the barrel, 75% on the receiver & mag tube, with loss mostly on the right side of receiver
& belly. Bore is very good, with small areas of roughness amongst strong rifling. The barrel holds a shallow V-notch rear sight & small blade front sight. Buttstock carries a Colt marked checkered hard rubber buttplate. A very nice example of an early pump .22 rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
