BOXED Remington, Model 40-X TARGET RIFLE, CAL: 7.62 NATO (.308 Winchester), MFG: 1975, SN: 046305C, Bolt Action Rifle, 24'' Heavy Bull barrel. The original heavy target stock, with flat pistol grip, palm rest & raised cheek is excellent, with a few tiny handling marks & a few small scrapes on the cheek. The stainless steel finish on the barrel is excellent. The metal blue finish on the receiver rates 99%. Bore is excellent & bright. The receiver holds the original side mounted sight base, along with a scope block in the factory tapped/drilled screw holes. The barrel holds two additional sight blocks. The stock has a full length lower rail for hand rest attachments, mounted with the original small hand rest, The stock also carries the original 3pc adjustable buttplate, with recoil pad. Comes with the original SN'd box, including a few spare pieces of hardware. Box condition is fair. Rifle is in excellent overall condition. FFL Req. - Value: 800 to 1400
