Sporterized, Mauser, K98K, CAL: 308, MFG: N/A, SN: E4258 (Receiver), Bolt Action Rifle, 21 1/2'' step-down barrel. The round knob pistol grip wood stock is very good & solid, having been cutdown, reshaped & re-oiled. There is a pill shaped inlay behind the pistol grip, alongside numerous small contusions, nicks & dings. The stock carries a few cartouches, ''B'' inside a circle behind the trigger guard, ''6194'' behind the pill shaped inlay & on the right side of stock a ''Star of David'' inside a circle with a ''B'' in the center. The metal finish on the barrel has worn mostly gun metal gray, with a thin gray/brown patina. The restored metal blue finish on the receiver rates 95%, with cleaned speckling & visible buff marks. Bore is excellent. The receiver holds a Micro-Trac K2.5-1 scope. No open sight provisions. Sling studs. Stock carries a smooth metal buttplate. A nicely sporterized of a K98K rifle.
