Winchester, Model 60A, Early Variation, CAL: 22 S.L.LR, MFG: 1933-39, SN: NSN, Bolt Action Rifle, Early 23'' barrel, with flat muzzle. Rendered ''safe'' by pulling the chocking piece back & turning it clockwise. An improved Model 60, which was an improvement on the model 59, This model was produced only 6 years, with only 6113 produced. The refinished, flat pistol grip wood stock, with finger groove forend is good, with an inlaid repair at the top of the wrist, also one along the bottom of the pistol grip & a 2'' long fill repair on the top of the comb. All were very professionally executed & are actually hard to notice after the light sanding & refinish which was likely done at the same time. Very nice overall appearance to the wood. The metal finish has fully worn to gun metal grey. Bore is bight with excellent rifling, but with a ring right at the muzzle. The barrel holds an adjustable rear sight & blade front sight. Nickeled trigger. Exposed take-down screw. Stock carries a worn Winchester checkered buttplate. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 300
