VERY RARE Winchester, Model 67, 2nd Issue ''Target Variation'', CAL: 22 S.L.LR, MFG: 1934-63, SN: 12977, Bolt Action Rifle, 27 1/8'' barrel. Target model with the special wheel adjusting peep sight. This is an early 2nd issue as it has the early blunt forearm tip, nickeled trigger & flush take-down screw. The flat pistol grip wood stock is very good, displaying minor contusions, scrapes & dings, with protective oils added over the original finish. There is a non-legible crown & number/letter cartouche stamped ahead of the trigger guard, as well as English proof stamps, barrel markings & added serial number. The metal blue finish rates 85%, with light blemishes, scrapes, scuffs & areas beginning to tone to a mix of metal gray & thin brown patina. Bore is excellent & bright. The barrel holds the more rare disc adjustable rear peep sight & ramp elevated hooded blade front sight. Stock carries a Winchester checkered black plastic buttplate. This is a rare Target transition model, with an excellent appearance. which has made it over seas & back. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 700
