Winchester, Model 68, 2nd Issue, Marked .22 SHORT, LONG & LONG RIFLE Cal., MFG. 1934-46, SN: None, Bolt Action, Single shot rifle, 27'' round barrel, This rifle is the 2nd issue having the heavier (non grooved) stock, with blunt forend & the sunk forend screw. The original flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent, with few tiny scuffs. The original metal blue finish is 85% overall, as coverage is excellent, but depth of blue has thinned some. Bore is excellent. The rifle is fitted with the correct Winchester wheel adjusting, aperture receiver sight & later style ramped & hooded blade sight. Buttstock carries a Winchester checkered plastic buttplate. Comes with an original Model 68 pamphlet A vey nice later 2nd issue 68. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 500 to 1000
