J.G Anschutz, German Parlor Rifle, CAL: 4mm RANDZ RF (SMOOTHBORE), MFG: 1930's (Pre-War), SN: NSN, Bolt Action Rifle, 22 1/2'' barrel. The top of the barrel is marked ''J.G Anschutz GmbH U/m/D. Germany'', the side of the barrel is marked ''4m/m'' & the top of the receiver is stamped in three lines ''J, JGA, A'' inside a double-lined circle. The original round knob wood stock, with finger groove forend & schnabel tip is excellent, with a few minor scrapes & dings to the original finish. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 90% overall, with scuffs & light spotting/speckling. The receiver rates 50%, toned to a mix of remaining blue & brown patina. Bore is very good. The barrel holds an adjustable rear sight & blade front sight. Manufactured without a buttplate, rather a grooved buttend. Comes with a full container of Sellier & Bellot 4mm RANDZ (200rds). It is to be believed that these guns were predominately used for indoor beer garden shooting in Germany. Unusual to find in the U.S.. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 150 to 450
