Stevens (Savage), Model 87C, CAL: 22 S.L.LR, MFG: 1953, SN: NSN, Semi Auto Rifle, 24'' barrel. The original, flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent, having been lightly sanded & nicely refinished. The metal blue finish on the barrel & receiver rates 85%, mostly toned to a gray patina. The tube rates 90%, with the name ''John Coffey'' etched into the left side between the stock & cartridge opening. Bore is excellent. The receiver carries a Weaver B4 scope, held by a Weaver .22 Tip Off scope mount. The barrel holds an adjustable rear sight & blade front sight. Stock carries a grooved plastic buttplate.
