Khyber Pass, Model: Martini (copy), CAL: unknown, Bore measures .33'', MFG: unknown SN: CF827280, Lever action falling block rifle. 22'' round barrel. This rifle appears to be a Khyber pass copy of a martini action rifle, A Khyber Pass copy is a firearm manufactured by cottage gunsmiths in the Khyber Pass region in Pakistan. They would make these weapons with hand tools & available materials. The quality of such firearms varies, ranging from as very good matching factory examples, to dangerously bad. The straight wrist wood stock on this example is very good, with light scratches, dings, dents & wear from use/age. Custom stud & raw hide work on the stocks. The metal finish rates 85% overall, with spots of light rust & wear. Right side of receiver is marked, crown over ''V.R'', ''ENFIELD'', ''1895'', arrow pointing up over ''EED'', left & right side of receiver is marked with various arrow stamps, top of receiver is marked ''5'', & faint numbers stamping, both sides of barrel is marked with S/N. Bore is poor & dark, with no visible rifling. Worn down barleycorn front sight. V-notch ladder rear marked 0,8,2 multiple times. Metal trapdoor buttplate, with rust. Sling swivels carry a leather sling, with feather & bead work. These Khyberpass guns vary in quality of construction & steel. Great display piece, but we recommend inspection by a professional gunsmith before firing. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 100 to 400
