Remington, Model: Rolling block No.5 M1902, Cal: 7x57mm, MFG: 1902-17, S/N: 318, Rolling block breech loading rifle, 36'' Barrel. The straight wrist wood stock is very good with scratches, nicks, dings, dents & wear from use/age, top of upper handguard has two 4 5/8'' cracks running from receiver to cutout for the rear sight, Left side of stock by wrist is marked, ''30''. The metal overall has toned to a even gray/brown patina with areas of gun metal gray showing. Upper tang is marked, ''REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY ILION, NY'', & various patent dates, top of barrel is marked, ''7M.M-S.M.'', S/N marked on left side of lower tang, hidden under stock. Bore is very good, bright with strong rifling. Barley corn front sight, V-notch tangent/ladder rear sight marked 2 to 13 on base & 14 to 21 on ladder. Metal buttplate worn gray with some patina. Bottom sling swivels, missing cleaning rod. These rifles were purchased by many countries and most don't have many if any distinguishing markings on them so its hard to identify where it came from.
