Ishapore (R.F.I), Model: SMLE NO 1 MK 3, CAL: .303 British, MFG: 1963, S/N: 90624M, Bolt action Rifle, 25 1/8'' Barrel. The semi-pistol grip wooden stock is good with age/oil darkening, possible factory crack repairs on rear of upper handguard with spliced in piece of wood, & scratches, nicks, dings, gouges & wear from use/age, brass unit disc on right side of stock by buttplate that reads, ''1ST CG'', The stock has the correct wire reinforcements meant for rifles adapted for launching rifle grenades. This example is without grenade launching attachments. The suncorite metal finish rates 35% overall with paint worn off in most exposed area reveling a gun metal gray, bolt & spots on receiver show marked of cleaned pitting. Right side of wrist is marked with the Lion Capital of Ashoka, ''R.F.I.'', ''1963'', ''NO1 MK3''. Right side of receiver is marked with S/N, right side of charger bridge is marked with importer stampings, S/N matched bolt. Bore is very good, bright with lightly worn rifling. Barleycorn front sight with protective wings, U-notch tangent rear sight marked ''2'' to ''20''. Military brass trapdoor buttplate. Bottom sling swivels, missing front stacking swivel. Action is tight & appear to function properly. FFL or C&R Req - Value: 300 to 600
