Tokyo Arsenal, Type 38 Carbine, CAL: 6.5x50MMSR, MFG: 1906-33, S/N: 81782, Bolt Action Rifle, 31'' Barrel. The semi-pistol grip stock is very good, displaying contusions, nicks, dings & scratches, with age/oil darkening, Possible bullet hole through rear of stock by rear sling swivel. The metal finish on the receiver rates 90%, with light rust speckling, the metal finish on the barrel rates 90% with light rust speckling & light wear/scratches in spots. Left side of receiver is marked with S/N, Kokura Arsenal stamp, left side of barrel is marked with triangle in circle stamp, top front of receiver is marked with chrysanthemum &, ''Type 38'' in Japanese, top rear of receiver is marked with triangle in circle stamp & circle stamp, mismatched bolt. Bore is very good, slightly dark with roughness with strong crisp rifling. Barleycorn front sight with two protective wings that have been crushed down in the front, V-notch ladder rear sight marked 4 to 20. Military Butt plate that has worn gray, Missing Cleaning rod.
