Colt 1849 Pocket Pistol, CAL: 31, MFG: 1860, SN: 174450, Single Action Percussion Revolver, 5 7/8'' barrel. The top barrel flat has been buffed smooth. ''COLTS PATENT'' is in two lines, on the left side of the frame. The full SN is repeated on the butt, trigger guard, frame, cylinder & the one on the barrel housing has been buffed smooth. Partial correct SN on the wedge ''74450'' The original, refinished wood grips are good. The right grip has a full length vertical repaired crack, alongside other contusions, scrapes & dings. The metal finish has worn to a mix of metal grey & brown patina, with remnants of original blue in protected areas. The cylinder stagecoach scene is crisp. The trigger guard & backstrap are brass, with an aged patina. Bore is very good & reflective, with intermittent roughness & light pitting. The barrel holds a worn brass front sight. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 400 to 800
