Colt, Model 1862 Police & Pocket Pistol of Navy Caliber, CAL: 36, MFG: 1865, SN: 29102, Single Action Revolver, 4 1/2'' barrel. The top of the barrel has no address marking. The right side of the frame has two patent dates in two lines '' PAT JULY 25 1871'' & ''PAT JULY 2 1872''. The caliber marking can been seen on the trigger guard. All matching SN on the butt, trigger guard, frame & barrel housing. Non-matching cylinder with SN ''477102''. The refinished, original wood grips are excellent, with contusions & scrapes. The metal has fully worn to gun metal grey, with cleaned rust pitting, toned to a dark brown patina. The trigger guard & backstrap are brass, with a thin aged patina. Bore is very good, with consistent roughness & intermittent pitting. The barrel holds a worn front bead. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 1000 to 3000
