Description

Colt, Model 1860 Army, CAL: .44, MFG: 1870, SN: 189156, Single Action Ball/Percussion Revolver, 7 7/8'' barrel. Civil War era revolver. The top of the barrel is roll-stamped: ''ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S AMERICA'' & ''COLTS PATENT'' is stamped on the left side of the frame. The Naval scene on the cylinder is faint, more visible in some areas than others. The full SN can be found on the trigger guard, frame & barrel housing. No SN on butt, cylinder has ''Patent No. 5293''. The brass trigger guard carries a ''D'' stamp. The replaced wood grips are excellent, with handling marks & minor scrapes. The metal finish has worn almost entirely grey, with areas of spotting/pitting toned to a brown patina & remnants of blue remaining on the frame. Bore is good, with roughness & pitting amongst strong rifling. Original front sight. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 800 to 1400
