Colt, New 22 (New Line), CAL: 22, MFG: 1876, SN: 37472, Single Action Revolver, 2 3/4'' barrel. The top of the barrel is marked in two lines ''COLT'S PT F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.''. The left side of the barrel is marked ''COLT NEW 22''. The full SN can be seen on the butt & the partial correct SN ''7472'' on the bottom of the barrel. There's also a very small ''102'' on the bottom of the barrel ahead of the partial SN. The original bird's head wood grips are excellent. There are contusions, scrapes & areas of flaking to the varnish finish. The current metal blue finish on the barrel & cylinder rates 85%, with scuffs & areas of loss worn to a metal grey. The original nickel finish has nearly worn completely from the brass frame, with some remnants remaining in more protected areas. Bore is good, but with roughness & light pitting. The barrel holds a small blade front sight. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 200 to 600
