RARE CASED, Colt, Model KODIAK, CAL: 44 MAGNUM, MFG: 1993, SN:CKA1402, Double Action Revolver, 6''' ported barrel. The Colt Kodiak was a limited run of 2000 guns that came from the Colt Custom Shop in 1993. We believe they only made 1000 in 6". Imprinted with a bear claw, it is one of two ''Bear Gun Models'' made from Colt. The Kodiak is the big brother to the Grizzly & marked a new era breaking away from their long history of naming revolvers after snakes. The left side of barrel is stamped ''COLT KODIAK 44 MAGNUM''. They came with Colt gold medallion Pachmayr black checkered rubber grips, with finger grooves. The grips on this example are very good showing some light use wear, mainly on the finger grooves. The stainless steel brush silver finish is excellent. Non-fluted cylinder. Bore is excellent. The ventilated rib barrel holds a screw height adjusting ''U'' notch rear sight & front blade, with the serrated orang insert. This gun comes with original blue plastic case & instruction manual.
