FN, M1922, CAL: 7.65 MM (.32 ACP), MFG: Mid 1943, SN: 196592, Semi-Auto Pistol, 4 1/4'' barrel. Made in Belgium. A blowback semi-automatic pistol designed by John Browning. Approximately 948,000 produced, mainly for the European market & WWII. The pistol incorporates the standard Browning striker-firing mechanism, a grip safety along with a magazine safety & an external safety lever (known as the ''triple safety'') in a compact package. The M1922 has the dubious distinction of being produced in larger numbers than any other firearm at the FN plant during the Nazi occupation. The German designations for the M1922 were Pistole 626(b) for the 7.65mm version & Pistole 641(b) for the 9mm Short version. M1922's found their way to all corners of the German government & military as officer's & official's sidearms. The primary user of the M1922, however was the Luftwaffe. M1922's accepted by the German military show one of three Army Weapons Office inspectors markings (Waffenamt stampings). This pistol has Nazi eagle symbols & ''WaA140'' stampings on the barrel, frame & slide. The original wood checked grips are excellent, with minor scuffs. The metal blue finish is 90%. Bore is excellent & bright. Notch & fixed blade sights. Original FN marked 8 round mag. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2000
