RARE, WINCHESTER SUPER-X MODEL 1 Salesman Marketing & Demonstration case. These rare cases with the components were sent to Company reps to promote the advances of the Winchester Super-X Model 1 over the competition. In the case is a Super-X Model 1 receiver, with the SN M2299, Trigger group & bolt, with their corresponding marked location. There is also a Remington Model 1100 trigger group & marked location & a location for an Ithaca Model 51which the trigger group is not included. Interestingly, it appears the Ithaca 51 trigger assembly was not included when originally shipped & likely was never sent, as the kit includes a letter which reads: ''NOTICE, Here is your Super-X Model 1 parts case. Please note that the trigger assembly for the Ithaca Model 51 is missing. We will send you this as soon as it becomes available. You may find that you can use the kit without it n the meantime. New Haven 3/15/74''. The kit also includes a Winchester Super-X Model 1 spec sheet. The red Winchester suitcase is in excellent condition. The contents is also excellent. We have not seen this kit come to market before. We do not know how many of these kits were actually produced, but surely the total number would be very small & surviving examples are likely far fewer. FFL Req - Value: 200 to 1000
