RARE! The 45/70 Trapdoor Springfields Dixie Collection 1975, 6 1/2'' x 9 1/2''. The Hardbound books only came with the gun! Has a page with the Serial Number and orignal purchaser and purchase date of 1976, Pages are clean, binding is tight, hardcover very good, Excerpt from page 92 about the following pages:
''The following section of our book is devoted to cataloging, de-scribing, and pricing the nearly 500 Trapdoors that we are offering for sale. These check sheets have been very carefully and diligently compiled, checked, and checked again to be sure they are as accurate as possible. Several people have devoted many, many hours to cataloging this largest collection of Trapdoor Springfields ever assembled. We believe our method of classifying by using check sheets will allow students and collectors to readily and conveniently compare and study the Trapdoor. These guns are arranged numerically according to serial numbers, beginning with the guns whose serial numbers have been partially obliterated. If you wish to purchase any of these guns, you may do so according to price range or by a specific serial number.''
