Winchester, Model 1886, CAL: 40-65 WCF, MFG: 1889, SN: 33988, Lever Action Rifle, 26'' Octagon barrel, Full mag. The original straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid. The original finish is present, with darkening from protective oils added over time. The stocks display several minor contusions & handling marks. There is a small 1/2'' hairline grain crack at the toe. The metal blue finish toned to a mix of remaining original blue & dark chocolate brown patina, with small areas worn to metal grey. The case-hardened receiver has the same metal patina & look as barrel & mag. Bore is very good, with spotty areas of pitting amongst proud rifling. The barrel holds an adjustable rear sight & silver pinched blade front sight. Buttstock carries a crescent metal buttplate. Tight action. A nice & all original 1886 rifle. Antique, No FFL Req. - Value: 2000 to 4000
