Winchester, Model 1892, CAL: 38 WCF, MFG: 1910, SN: 517533, Lever Action Carbine, 20'' Round barrel, Full mag, The original wood stocks are very good & solid. They appear to carry the original finish, with numerous small handling marks, scratches & contusions, mostly on the stock, which typically indicates the carbine rode side saddle in a scabbar. There is some minor edge chipping at the toe. The original metal blue finish has mostly worn to a gun metal gray, with a thin layer of brown patina & some remains of blue in protected areas. Bore is very good, with some roughness amongst strong rifling. Barrel carries a carbine style rear ladder sight & carbine box front sight. Stock is fitted with a crescent metal buttplate, which is much more unusual than the typical carbine style buttplate. Original saddle ring.
