Winchester, Model 1894 TAKE-DOWN, CAL: 38-55, MFG: 1905, SN: 267049, Lever Action Rifle, 24 1/4'' 1/2 Octagon 1/2 Round Barrel. 2/3rds Mag. The factory straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid. They carry a thinning original finish, with numerous small handling marks, scrapes & contusions, mostly located on the stock. The original metal blue finish on the barrel & mag rates 95%, 60% on the receiver, with most of the loss being splotchy loss on the right side of receiver & on belly. Blue remains on bolt, with some on the buttplate & forend cap. Case-hardened lever & hammer display faded case-colors. Bore is excellent. The receiver carries a Lyman flip-up tang sight, while the barrel holds a blank filled rear dovetail & Lyman front blade sight. Buttstock carries a metal widows peak shotgun buttplate. Comes with a Cody Winchester Factory Records Letter, which confirms dates & configuration. This is a sharp looking original rifle, with special features & sights.* FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 3500 to 5500
