Winchester, Model 71 Long Tang, CAL: 348 WCF, MFG: 1937, SN: 13390, Lever Action Rifle, 24'' barrel, 1/2 Mag. The original flat pistol grip wood stock is very good & solid. There are contusions, scrapes, dings & a partially eroded knot at the heel that's been filled. The original finish has worn thin near the handling points, with a couple other small areas of flaking. The metal blue finish on the barrel rates 95%, tube rates 97%, & the receiver rates 60%, worn to metal grey on the belly. Bore is excellent, with strong rifling. The receiver carries a side-mounted Redfield adjustable peep sight. The barrel has a plastic blank filled rear dovetail & the front sight is a ramp elevated blade, no hood. Stock has a ventilated brown rubber recoil pad, which appears to have been mounted without cutting the stock, meaning a correct buttplate could be reinstalled. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1250 to 2500
