Winchester, Model 70, CAL: 257 Roberts, MFG: 1953, SN: 243330, Bolt Action Rifle, 24'' barrel. Desired pre-64. Only 14,641 or approximately 2.5% of Model 70 production were produced between 1936-59 in .257 Roberts The original checkered flat pistol grip wood stock is excellent. There are light handling & storage marks to the original finish. The original metal blue finish rates 97% overall. Bore is excellent. The receiver once held a scope & the factory holes are open. The barrel holds a Marble blank in the rear dovetail & a hooded front ramp sight.. Stock carries a checkered metal buttplate. Sling swivels present. An excellent & original condition pre-64 in one of the more collectible calibers.* FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 2000 to 3200
