Winchester, Model 1890, Third Variation, CAL: 22 SHORT, MFG: 1909, SN:411952, Pump Action Rifle, 24'' Octagon barrel. The original straight grip wood stocks are very good & solid, however there is a non-professional glue attempted 2'' toe break. There are other small scratches, scrapes & contusions to the original finish, which shows thinning at the wrist & forend. The original metal blue finish rates 80% on barrel & receiver, 30% on mag & trigger guard, with thinning areas toning to a brown patina. Bore is good, with a few spotty areas of roughness amongst strong rifling. The barrel holds the standard adjustable rear & small blade front sights. Buttstock carries a smooth crescent metal buttplate. Tight smooth action. Flared bottom oading slot. A nice original short only rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
