Winchester, Model 61, CAL: .22 L. RIFLE, MFG: 1938, SN: 37589, Pump Action Rifle, 24'' round barrel. Rare single caliber marked 61 with the early pre-war small forend & pre-war rust blue finish. The original flat pistol grip wood stock & grooved forend are excellent, having been lightly sanded & very nicely refinished. There are very few minor contusions, scrapes & scratches. The original metal finish rates 70% on barrel toning a bit gray & toned to a thin brown patina in areas of loss. The finish on receiver & mag rates 80%, with some speckled haze developing on the receiver. Bore is excellent. The barrel holds an adjustable rear sight & small blade front sight. Buttstock carries the earlier checkered metal buttplate. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 600 to 1200
