The Birmingham Small Arms Co. (BSA), Martini Henry Target Rifle, CAL: marked 220 Long Rifle & 22 LR, MFG: Circa the turn of the century, SN: P71509, Single Shot Breech Loading Rifle, 29'' barrel. The cheeked, flat pistol grip wood stock & target style forend are very good & solid. There are (4) dowel fills on the receiver end of the forend, (2) small & (2) tiny. The stocks were lightly sanded & refinished, likely after the dowel placement. There is a 5 1/2'' accessory rail on the bottom of the forend, frequently used for hand rests for these types of rifles. The metal blue finish rates 90% overall, beginning to tone to a smooth gray/brown patina. Bore is excellent. The receiver holds an adjustable flip-up sight, with large aperature disc. The barrel is tapped & drilled with two mounted bases for optics & a large hooded disc front sight. Stock has a BSA marked grooved black plastic buttplate. Adjustable trigger (very light) >1lb. A very good bench shooting target rifle. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 300 to 600
