W.H Davenport, ''Goose Gun'', CAL: 8 Bore, MFG: 1896-1909, SN: 0775, Break Action Single Shot Shotgun, 36'' barrel. The checkered round knob grip wood stock & forend are excellent, having been refinished & possibly lightly sanded. The twisted steel barrel appears to have an applied antique brown finish. The receiver is case-hardened, with faint, but visible case-colors & areas worn to metal grey, with a thin brown patina. Bore is excellent. The barrel holds a single front bead. Stock carries a carved plastic buttplate. This shotgun takes down fairly easily, with the accessible knob on the right side of the receiver. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 1000 to 2500
