Remington, Model: M1902 Rolling Block, CAL: 7mm, MFG:1901-1907, S/N: N/A, Rolling Block Single Shot Rifle, 30 1/8'' barrel. The straight grip wood stock is very good with scratches, dents, dings & wear from use/age. The metal finish on the receiver rates 60% with some faint remnants of the case hardening finish reaming on the right side, & has cleaned pitting on the left side, barrel metal finish rates 75% with spots of lightly thinned bluing, & small scratches. Upper tang is marked, ''REMINGTON ARMS CO.'', ''ILION.N.Y.U.S.A.'', ''PAT'D.OCT.22ND.1901'', Top of barrel is marked, ''CAL.7 M.M.''. Bore is excellent, bright with proud, sharp rifling. The barrel holds a front blade, ladder/tangent U-notch rear sight marked 1 to 5 on side & 6 to 19 on ladder. Buttstock carries a military buttplate. Bottom sling swivels, comes with black leather sling, has cleaning rod. These rifles were made at the turn of the century in anticipation of military orders but at that time everyone was buying Mauser magazine rifles, or there own rifle's, instead of a older single shot rifle, they sat in Remington inventory until WW1 where many country's like France, England, & Canada bought them up to give to second line troops & free up the main line rifles for use in the frontlines, where the actual fighting was. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 500 to 800
