Kokura Arsenal, Model: Type 38, Cal: 6.5x50mmR, MFG: 1935-41, S/N: 21936, 12th serial block, Bolt action rifle, 31 1/2'' barrel. The military semi-pistol grip wood stock is good, stock has been cut down & re-shaped, stock appears to have been lightly sanded & re-finished, stock has light scratches, dings, dents & wear from use/age. The metal finish rates 80% overall with grind marks on the top of receiver & light wear. Left side of receiver is marked with S/N, & arsenal mark, top of receiver has a ground off but still slightly visible chrysanthemum, & ''Type 38'' in Japanese. Bore is very good, bright & clean with lightly thinned rifling. Barleycorn front sight with V-notch ladder rear sight marked 5 to 24. Metal buttplate with wear & patina. bottom sling mounts. The barrel is not cut down so this would make a good rifle to un-sporterized. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 150 to 300
