DWM, Model: Argentino 1891 Cavalry Carbine, Cal: 7.65x53mm, MFG: 1899, S/N: C1394, Bolt action rifle, 17 3/4'' barrel, The straight wrist wood stock is good, stock appears to have been sanded & refinished, stock has a tight repaired crack on bottom of stock that runs between both barrel bands, repair has 5 inlaid wooden dowels to reinforce repair, faint S/N mark on right side of stock by S/N on receiver, & it appears that it could match but most of the numbers are too faded to read, faint cartouche on top of upper handguard. The metal on the barrel appears to have been refinished and rates 90% with light scratches, the receiver has been left in the white. Left side of the receiver is marked with proof marks, ''MAUSER MODELO ARGENTINO 1891'', ''DEUTSCHE WAFFEN-UND MUNITIONSFABRIKEN.'', ''BERLIN'', top of receiver is marked with a slightly worn but still visible Argentine coat of arms, right side of receiver is marked with S/N, top of barrel has a proof mark, right side of barrel is marked with S/N, S/N matched bolt & barrel. Bore is very good, bright with strong rifling & light roughness. Barleycorn front sight with protective wings, U-notch ladder rear sight marked 4 to 14, metal buttplate with light patina.
