DWM, Model: 1891 Argentino, Cal: 7.65x53mm, MFG: 1900, S/N: U0756, Bolt action rifle, 17 3/4'' barrel, The straight wrist wood stock is good, 1/2'' by 1/2'' chip repair in bottom of stock right behind the rear barrel band, 2 1/2'' long tight repaired crack on bottom of stock emanating from front barrel band, crack also has wooden dowel reinforcements inlaid into the stock, two wooden dowl reinforcements inlaid into the bottom of the stock by rear sling mount, stock appears to have been sanded & re-finished, The metal finish rates 85% on the barrel with small spots of thinned bluing & light scratches, & 60% on the receiver, the spot were the coat of arms would have been has been ground down. Left side of the receiver is marked with proof marks, ''MAUSER MODELO ARGINTINO 1891'', ''DEUTSCHE WAFFEN-UND MUNITIONSFABRIKEN.'', ''BERLIN'', Right side of receiver is marked with S/N, top of barrel has a proof mark, right side of barrel is marked with S/N, S/N mismatched bolt, S/N matched barrel. Bore is excellent, bright with strong rifling. Barleycorn front sight with protective wings, U-notch ladder rear sight marked 4 to 20, metal buttplate with light patina. Bottom rear sling mount. This is a long rifle that has been cut down and made to look like a carbine. FFL or C&R Req. - Value: 250 to 500
